•  About lysine Propionylation

Propionylation was recently discovered as a novel reversible protein post-translational modification on lysine. Besides histones, propionylation was also found in non-histones such as p53. Although the functional role of propionylation is not clear, it was found that it share regulatory enzymes such as p300/CBP and substrates such as p53 with lysine acetylation.
