Functional Description
 Translational regulator that acts under specialized conditions or in a restricted cellular compartment. Acts by interacting with gcn1, thereby preventing activation of gcn2 protein kinase and subsequent down-regulation of protein synthesis. In normal conditions, it resides in a actin complex and has no activity. Under some conditions, it may be displaced from monomeric actin and regulate translation.
