 Involved in nucleotide excision repair (NER) of damaged DNA. Required for the repair of RNA polymerase I-transcribed rDNA and RNA polymerase II-transcribed DNA regions. May have a role in stabilizing the DNA repair proteins RAD4 and RAD34.
