Functional Description
 Catalyzes the formation of a hydroxyacyl-CoA by addition of water on enoyl-CoA. Also exhibits 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA epimerase and 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase activities. Involved in the aerobic and anaerobic degradation of long-chain fatty acids.
