Functional Description
 Involved in nucleolar processing of pre-18S ribosomal RNA and ribosome assembly. Has a role in the nuclear export of 40S pre-ribosomal subunit to the cytoplasm. Its subcellular location and association with pre-40S subunit are unaffected by RPS19 disruptions, suggesting it acts before the ribosomal protein.
